If you’re reading this in the post-freedom world, I want you to see this. If for some reason you happen across this post a hundred years from now as you’re surfing the internet, I want you to know what happened today. I believe today is one of those quiet turning points in history; one that will take us into a very dark period of world history, where you now find yourself.

I am convinced the invasion of Iraq in 2003 is another of those turning points in history, but not so quietly. I think it will have some part to play in the end, for good or bad, I’m not sure. Maybe you have a better understanding of that by now.

Today’s turning point is obviously not solely responsible for the kind of world in which you now live. It is a mile marker. A road sign to where you are now. The sad part is, today’s turning point into darkness was only taken for political advantage. The gravity of such an issue was exchanged for a couple votes.

What is the turning point? Let the President of the United States of America tell you himself in a letter I received at 4:28 this morning.

Friend —

Today, I was asked a direct question and gave a direct answer:

I believe that same-sex couples should be allowed to marry.

I’ve always believed that gay and lesbian Americans should be treated fairly and equally. I was reluctant to use the term marriage because of the very powerful traditions it evokes. And I thought civil union laws that conferred legal rights upon gay and lesbian couples were a solution.

But over the course of several years I’ve talked to friends and family about this. I’ve thought about members of my staff in long-term, committed, same-sex relationships who are raising kids together. Through our efforts to end the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, I’ve gotten to know some of the gay and lesbian troops who are serving our country with honor and distinction.

What I’ve come to realize is that for loving, same-sex couples, the denial of marriage equality means that, in their eyes and the eyes of their children, they are still considered less than full citizens.

Even at my own dinner table, when I look at Sasha and Malia, who have friends whose parents are same-sex couples, I know it wouldn’t dawn on them that their friends’ parents should be treated differently.

So I decided it was time to affirm my personal belief that same-sex couples should be allowed to marry.

I respect the beliefs of others, and the right of religious institutions to act in accordance with their own doctrines. But I believe that in the eyes of the law, all Americans should be treated equally. And where states enact same-sex marriage, no federal act should invalidate them.

Thank you,

Barack Obama is the first sitting president to take a position of support for same-sex marriages. A loss of values will guarantee the loss of everything else, including freedom. Freedom is built on values. Without values, the world unravels toward evil.

I don’t know if your schools are teaching this, but know there was a time in America and the world when we had freedom and values. Know there were some who stood where God wanted us to stand and speak the truth. I might have already left this earth by the time you happen across this, or it could happen in my lifetime; but today, I am thinking of you.

Let this spark hope inside you to do the right thing.

“A divine sentence is in the lips of the king…It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness. There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 16:10, 12, 25

David Barton explains the thinking behind why killing an eagle egg will put you in jail, yet killing a human baby in the womb is okay, according to the progressive world view.

You can see that Earth takes preeminence in the progressive worldview, or does it…

“On Tuesday, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is expected to announce a significant commitment to a group working to address the problem, with a goal of providing 100 million clean-burning stoves to villages in Africa, Asia and South America by 2020. The United States is providing about $50 million in seed money over five years for the project, known as the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves.”

$50 million for clean cookstoves

Like Glenn Beck said on his radio program today, and it is so true, when you read stories like this, it frustrates you, because the media tells the story, using the same, old script, which does not explain the reasons behind the strange behavior of our leaders in Washington, which leaves you asking, how or why is this happening…

This is one reason why we must support our own, the people who are fighting for us and what is good, those in the media who are explaining the context behind the craziness.
